There’s nothing you can do to avoid them growing up. It’s not like you could stop them at a certain age and keep them that way forever. It’s a sad yet exciting. You’re happy to see what they become but sad that you can’t retain that innocence they once had. Those moments when they came and asked you questions, those times where you were their only guidance. The feeling of seeing them have their little “aha!” moments, those become few and far between the older they get. If we don’t enjoy them now, that gap will only grow more rapidly leading to even fewer of those moments realized. We must enjoy them, bask in their innocence, applaud all their achievements and love them unconditionally. They are our guides as we are their’s, they are our motivation as we are theirs, and they are our lives no matter what.
